AUGUST 2018

Movies Under the Moon

Presented by Monroe Parks & Recreation, Monroe Arts Council, Monroe YMCA, Monroe Library, Republic Services, Monroe Concert Band & Neucon Enterprises.
Location:  Lake Tye Park Map to event

Pre-event activities start at 8pm; movies start at dusk. Concessions available for popcorn, bottled water, pop, etc. Bring a blanket!

August 3 – Jumanji
Four teenagers are sucked into a jungle-themed video game. 

August 10 – Coco
A boy journeys into the Land of the Dead to seek forgiveness from his ancestors and lift a curse.

August 17 – Wonder
A 10-year-old boy with a facial deformity learns to adapt and make friends when he attends school for the first time.

August 24 – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
The team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.

“Annie” – Presented by Cascade Community Theater at the WPAC

 

Swift Night Out, celebrating the annual migration of the Vaux’s Swift. The chimney next to the WPAC is a favorite resting place for these special birds on their migration route.
Every August the M.A.C. is proud to co-sponsor Monroe’s annual Movies Under the Moon series, along with Monroe Parks & Recreation and the YMCA.
